FoC Men's Group on Saturday, March 6 from 7:30 - 11:30 AM NOTE TIME CHANGE
The men's group normally meets the first Saturday of each month at 7:00 AM. Join other men for breakfast at the church and participate in our Service, Devotion, Fellowship/Fun program. Adult male FoC participants, visitors, and guests are welcome! Contact Kelly Lynk.

Taize Prayer in the St. Hubert sanctuary, Thursdays, March 4 & 11, 7:00 PM
Taize prayer is a quiet simple way of prayer for people of all Christian traditions. The candlelit service includes simple chants sung repeatedly, rich silence, scripture readings, and a reflection.

Lenten Current Events Discussion: March 17 & 24 from 7-8 PM
Meet with Pastor Kristie next door at the Chan Rec Center. Discuss "A Bad Morality Play: What have we learned from the financial crisis?" one chapter in Rediscovering Values: A Moral Compass for the New Economy by Jim Wallis (editor of Sojourners magazine, author of God's Politics, and Christian commentator). Pick up a reprint of this chapter at the Faith-in-the-Fast-Lane counter in the narthex.

"Justice We Pursue," the 2010 Day on the Hill on March 25th
At RiverCentre and the State Capitol, St. Paul, March 25, 8:30-3:30, includes speakers and meetings with legislators. Sponsored by the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition, an interfaith group working on poverty, health, care, judicial fairness, housing, and taxation. For more info and to register: www.jrlc.org.

Book of Faith: The Conversation is Growing - April 8, 15, 22, 29 from 7:00-8:30 PM
Introducing new ways to open Scripture. Whether you are looking for a foundational course to start your conversation, or looking to dig deeper into scripture, these new resources feature thought-provoking, engaging, and helpful for adult and youth Bible study. Our first Book of Faith Bible study will meet Thursday, April 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 7:00-8:30 PM. These sessions will be pastor-led with small group discussion ed by homework. Pick up a book and get more information from Pam Schumacher or Nancy Rogneby at the display for Book of Faith. During the four-week study, we'll explore historical cultural context, look at the characters, story line and themes, and consider the meaning of the text for faithful living. Come join the conversation!

Minneapolis Area Synod Assembly: April 24
FoC & regional partners meet for a day for mission-and-money decisions and an inspiring look at the ministry Lutherans are doing in the Twin Cities, across the nation, and around the world.
