Tables for Eight

What is it?
Tables for eight is a great way to celebrate small-group fellowship. Approximately eight people meet for dinner and have a great time getting to know each other. Dinners will be held once a month from February-April. Saturday night is the likely night, but the group may decide to meet on a different day or at a different time of day.

Get-togethers will be customized for each group. You don't have to be available every month in order to participate. If you want to come to just one dinner to try things out, that's great too!

Will I be required to host a dinner?
No, you will not be required to host at your home. But if you'd like to host, please let me know.

What are the duties of the host?
The host contacts guests roughly one week in advance to arrange the type of event (formal dinner, adult-only, family, dinner theme) and the food responsibilities. He or she typically prepares the main course and coordinates sides, appetizers, desserts, bread and beverage with guests. The host may find substitutes if one of the guests is unable to attend.

How is the schedule created?
I work within your availability and constraints, trying to maximize the number of different people with whom you'll dine. I try to give interested hosts an equal number of hosting opportunities and I also try to limit the number of times you dine with the same people. It's quite a challenge!
