Welcome

Check out the new Faith in the Fast Lane Cabinet and Display in the narthex and pick up new and updated resources to help grow your faith along life's journey.

It is our goal at Family of Christ to provide quality programming for all ages. Much of that programming occurs within the walls of our church building and we continue to explore ways that we can grow those exciting programs. But we also recognize that each of us spends a significant amount of our daily hours outside of the church building. We want to provide resources that will help you grow in your faith when you are on the road of your life's journey...out in the fast lane.

Faith in the Fast Lane Family of Christ's own trade-marked program through which we will provide ongoing and changing tools to help you along the winding curves, straight-aways and occasional potholes on the road of life. Stop by the display and find out more!

Pick up a Faith in the Fast Lane bag that you can use in your car, at the doctor's office, on the airplane, on your daily walk, or wherever you might find yourself each day. Choose the things at the display that you think might be useful along your faith journey: CDs, devotionals, Faithtalk cards to spark conversation, pens, pencils, notepads, habits of faith cards, and more. New resources will be added regularly. Some new things to watch for: pocket Bibles, prayer ideas, travel games, devotions and/or sermons on CD, and more. We'd love your ideas as well!

These bags and resources are provided free of charge through numerous generous donations and through funds from our annual Silent Auction.

Faith Formation

Faith Formation is Family of Christ's term for a coordinated ministry of deepening Christian faith at every age, ability, and interest level within our congregation, centering in the Habits of Faith. In many ways Faith Formation looks familiar - children's ministry, preschool, confirmation, youth and adult ministries, fellowship, worship/music. Faith Formation brings together these sometimes separate programs into a cohesive whole. The Faith Formation Coordinator, Leann Thompson, is the staff person who organizes this focused and intentional church-wide effort to become a place for life-long (cradle-to-grave) faith and learning.

The Faith Formation team includes all program/ministry staff. Pastors have a primary role in guiding the values, vision, and content of Faith Formation. Their roles and participation are also familiar - children's sermons and preschool chapel chats, confirmation, 1st Communion, and Bible introductions, and many other programs, activities, and connections with all ages. Our Youth Ministry and our Preschool also take part in Faith Formation events as time, abilities and responsibilities allow.
