Creation Care

Creation Care

We are part of God’s beautiful creation and Family of Christ is intentional about finding ways to be good stewards of all that God provides.  Creation Care is a group of people who seek out ways to encourage an eco-friendly culture in and around our building as well as at the homes of our members.  Some of the recent things we’ve done as a community are:

- In 2015, planted a 4,700 sq. foot rain garden

- Purchased a solar panel to power our outdoor sign

- Continue to work with the U of MN Bee Squad to care for 2 bee colonies

- Given out seedles and milkweed seeds for planting at home to help create places for     butterflies and pollinators to work

- Installed new composting, recycling and waste stations throughout the building

- Continue to collect compostables through our waste carrier to reduce the amount of       trash we are sending to the landfill

- Stopped using Styrofoam products and are using mostly compostable products for our   food and beverage needs

Your ideas and participation are welcome!  Please contact Jeff Stuhr, Pastor Jeanne to find out when we next meet or to share information.
