Train children in the ways that they should go, and when they are old they will not stray.
And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom;
and the favor of God was upon him.
About Family of Christ Preschool
Family of Christ Preschool offers a faith-based, positive, safe, nurturing, fun environment where young children learn through play. The program is designed to meet the individual needs of two- to five-year-old children (not yet enrolled in kindergarten) in their spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth. We recently surveyed families with children graduating from our program. 100% of parents responding stated that their child was ready for kindergarten.
FoC Preschool is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health & Human Services. Our curriculum exceeds the Minnesota Core Competencies of Learning. Our lead teachers have education degrees and undergo continuing education courses in early childhood development annually. They also take health & safety training yearly, and CPR & first aid training every other year.
Our classrooms are arranged to include a variety of interest centers, where children may choose from a wide assortment of activities. These centers ensure that children develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically -- areas of development which happen simultaneously. In our classrooms we have an art center, block center, book center, dramatic play center, table games/manipulatives center, sensory table, science center, and a writing center.
Parent/guardian involvement is strongly encouraged in every part of the program. Parents/guardians are welcome to visit at any time, and we encourage everyone to attend at some time during the year. Our commitment to our families includes:
