Music lessons are a way in which we can involve more current members, while also reaching out
to our community.
Private Lessons
Weekly lessons are offered at Family of Christ on several instruments. Currently the instruments include piano, violin, viola, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and oboe. Our main teachers have advanced degrees in music and several years of teaching experience Lessons are $23 per half hour with 18-week semesters.
Taste of Music
This program offers lessons at a reduced rate. Teachers are skilled at their instrument, but may not have formal music degrees. Currently, lessons include violin, viola, piano, guitar, voice, and harp. Lessons are $15 per half hour, with 18-week semesters.
Performance Opportunities
Students perform in two recitals: 1 in winter, 1 in spring. Students are also welcome to play during worship for the collection of prayer requests.
