About the Program
-Individual faith development: Discovering their gifts and how God is calling them into service -Small group faith development: A cohort model for young people and those who have similar passions and learning needs -Community faith development: Celebrating together, in fellowship and worship, the diversity of talents and gifts and our call to a common mission Faith Formation Ministry at Family of Christ provides opportunities for young people and adults to be both nurtured in individual spiritual growth and accepted and encouraged in Christian community, outreach, and discipleship. The ministry serves youth in 6th through 12th grades and their families. It's part of the Faith Formation Ministry, which provides resources and programming for living a life of faith.
SNL is open to ALL youth grades 9-12! Newcomers and friends are always welcome. Each month we spend a week LEARNING about our faith and how it works in our crazy world, SERVING a wide variety of needs at FoC and around the metro, CONNECTING with one another through different activities to bring us closer together, and PLAYING together through parties and events. SNL meets Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 during the school year unless otherwise specified. Contact Lindsey Ruhland with any questions - 952.934.5659 ext 30.
40:3 40:3 is a contemporary choir open to 10th- through 12th-graders. We rehearse Wednesdays, 5:30-6:00 PM. We help lead worship and sing anthems throughout the school year. This is a student-led group. Singers and instrumentalists welcome.
ELCA National Youth Gathering News New Orleans, Louisana, July 16-23, 2012 The bus is full. If you'd like to be added to the waiting list, contact Lindsey. For students who have completed grades 9-12. Join with 39,000 Lutheran youth from all over the world to explore the ways God is working in the world, through the theme of Citizens with the Saints. Youth will learn more about their faith and social issues, and get to go into the city of New Orleans for some hands-on learning experiences.
